Class Registration
The Class Management Office is responsible for training University staff in Class Management functions and the coordination of Class Registration and re-enrolment for students.
Prior to each semester students are allocated a specific appointment time in which they will be able to login to eStudent, re-enrol in units and class register by selecting the classes such as lectures, tutorials and labs which they need to register in to create their timetable.
The intent of the class registration process is to allow students to register in classes that best meet their own personal requirements, within the limits of the overall classes scheduled by the University. At the end of the process students can create their personal timetable that can be viewed online via eStudent. Students can see their timetable for each week of the study period. This is valuable when individual classes may not be scheduled each week i.e. may be fortnightly or some other week pattern.
Other class registration functions allow the use of class streams where a set of classes is linked to enable students to class register in a defined grouping i.e. a tutorial and a lab or reserved places which define which students must attend particular classes for their unit, and Activity and Class comments are provided where comments can be used to advise students of registration requirements.
Student queries relating to Class Registration should be directed to the relevant Faculty Student Services Office.
