Availabilities

Availabilities describe when, where, how and to whom a Course, Unit or Thesis are offered. The Availability data is recorded for information, publication and timetabling purposes.

  • When:     Year and Study Period (i.e. 2011, Semester 2)
  • Where:    Location (i.e. campus)
  • How:       Attendance Mode (i.e. Internal)
  • Whom:    Study Mode, Liability Category, Load Category (i.e. Normal, Commonwealth Supported, Full Time)

Information about quotas and tuition patterns is also recorded on an Availability. Quota information can be used to control admission into Courses or enrolment into Units and Theses. Tuition pattern information is used to timetable the various activities recorded for Unit availabilities such as lectures, tutorials and labs.

Availabilities also contain dates which control when information can be processed such as the last date to admit or enrol, teaching census date and the last date to withdraw.

Availabilities are processed by the relevant Faculty Student Services Office (FSSO) or via submission of the appropriate webform. Visit the Forms tab to access, complete and submit all availabilities webforms.
